The synth facebook groups are fucking garnage. Bout to unfollow all of them.
They all either post the same 3 fucking topics every day (Anyone else like Hotline Miami/Drive/Turbo Kid/Trilogy by Brut? Yeah no fucking shit we all do) or they post complete garbage that has nothing to do with the scene. Today someone posted an article about Paris Hilton trying to learn how to make beats what the fuck does that have to do with synth?
Also a few weeks ago this guy posted saying "Just watched Donnie Darko. That movie is so Outrun its crazy" |||||||||||| Fucking ky

A lot of people are starting to bitch on them too. "Thats not retro". Like people brought up Ghost in the Shell (a 90s anime, with cyberpunk themes, arguably does apply to retro), and people were bitching.
I think the groups have just taken on too many normies, and is starting to develop elitism, so there's clash.
Like i dont mind people posting non retro cyberpunk stuff since its so closely tied to synthwave but Paris Hilton and Donnie Darko holy fuck hang yourself.
i think i'll just stick to the vinyl and cassette groups because they actually provide good discussion and news when shit goes on sale
