ima huge Trivium fan... In Waves just isnt doing it for me. i honestly think recruiting Nick was a wrong move, cuz theyr've shifted to a more generic blastbeat filled core sound.

i need more of the thrashier stuff back.

The drummer isn't the problem with the song. Shattering The Skies Above was with Nick as drummer and it was awesome. It's all about the riffs, or lack thereof, and that's on Matt and Corey.

while yes, the Shattering was overall a good song, i still think Nick's overdoing it with the grind-blast beats on the drums. it just sounds very unTrivium-y to me
