the cool thing about royal thunder is that theyre still not big enough to do a headlining run, so they get added as openers to bills with pretty sick fucking bands, like pallbearer, enslaved, monster magnet, etc. so in that way its always a bonus in itself.
It sounded off. Like something about the production and song writing. It had that kind of Cynic tone but wasn't progressive sounding at all. I hope this isn't a good indicator of that the rest of the record sounds like.
i liked it quite a bit. it sounded like btbam at first and then went into a joe lester bass tone part then did its own thing. kind of felt like a mini tribute with traced in air.
