i can handle that, it's just that those bands sounded fine with their original sound. when i hear bands start co-opting someone else's sound (specifically the sound of a significantly more successful band), it's a big turnoff to me.
I honestly don't see Intronaut, Isis, or Tool sounding the same at all. There might be a few similarities, but there are huge distinctive differences between each band.
As for the new Intronaut song, it's not the most innovative thing they've done that's for sure. It seems they've taken the clean singing a bit far. I like all the atmospheric passages, but the constant chug thing is a little on the lame side. The last two minutes or so of the song got that signature Intronaut sound, but as Alex said it is very similar to Valley of Smoke. Joe Lester is still kicking ass doe. I'm hoping this one of the weaker songs on the new album.
Jungle Rot has announced that their eighth studio album will be titled, Terror Regime, out March 19th via Victory Records. Recording took place at Bell City Recording in Racine, Wisconsin with longtime friend and engineer Chris Djuricic.
"Terror Regime has lots of speed, groove and hate coming your way," warns frontman Dave Matrise.
The artwork was once again completed by Gyula Havancsák (Destruction, Annihilator, Grave Digger).
