He can still do This Calling, Six, The Catalyst and The Air I Breathe live and he does it better than the material from Overcome and FWAR, and the song Some Of The People All The Time, was actually pretty impressive compared to the rest of the album.

I really liked Behind Silence and Solitude, This Darkened Heart (BEST ATR ALBUM BTW), And The Fall of Ideals... but yea lately... wtf?
Even when Phil was in Shadows Fall he sounded better than he does now.
i think he is just tired of struggling to get by in the underground scene for the last 10+ years so hes pushing the band into the mainstream direction. he pretty much started this band so he can do whatever he wants with it

They received a shit ton of appreciation when FOI came out, though. They didn't have to up the mainstream tenfold. I understand experimenting with sound and all, but it was way too obvious by the time FWAM came out that they just wanted money. And seeing/listening to what this upcoming album is, it's hard to imagine that they have that little of respect for both them and the fans that got them where they are today.

They could still play in the underground type of scene because all the publicity Phil gets for all his fucking ranting probably is half the reason someone even checks them out anymore.
personally i think he just wants to run his gun shop and while he enjoys making music and being in ATR hes mostly doing it because of contract, commitments etc.
