Players don't want to practice in this heat or play pre season games
Then the agreement they worked for for so long will be for naught. The deal will be done by next week. The players aren't stupid. They have more to lose from games being lost than the owners.
The owners are more prepared to lose games than the players. And the players are hurt by not having as much time to practice and prepare with their teams. When the NFL resumes I suspect there will be more injuries.
There's still a decent chance the Eagles hang on to Kolb. I look at Vick's career stats and see he's only played a full season once in his entire career, and that's not likely to change as Vick gets older unless he cuts down on running.

I don't think they hold onto Kolb when premier players or high draft picks are on the line. I just think giving Vick the keys at all in the first place is a bad decision. As more and more tape becomes available, Vick will become less and less effective. He's on the wrong side of 30. Defenses aren't stupid. I believe that by the end of next year, we will be looking at this time as a mistake for the Eagles in many ways. They will be drafting in the top 10 by 2014.

Looks like there won't be any more delays. Free agency will start at the end of the week.
I'm also going to make this prediction right now.
Making Michael Vick the starting QB for the Eagles over the next few years will turn out to be a bad decision for the Eagles.
