and the bears play the texans and 49ers...2 games that could be won or lost...if they lose both and win both...or even if they lost one....were right back in the race if we take care of business
lol you need to worry about the Vikings and then the Packers in the division before you can start worrying about the Bears. You are in last place son. baby steps.
Realistically the ONLY chance the Lions have of getting in the playoffs is somehow finishing 9-7 (which will be difficult to do), and then hoping that no other team in the NFC other than the "big 5" finish with a better record then 9-7 and grab that last wildcard spot.
If the Lions win this weekend they become the 6th seed in the NFC. It's not like they have to win out like CF is making it sound.
Not if Seattle wins also.......
That being said the 6th playoff spot is for sure attainable. I said that a couple weeks ago that they would be one of many teams fighting for it. Now its looking like Seattle, Minnesota, Detroit, and Tampa Bay are the front runners for it. The division would be way more of mountain to climb with 3 teams that they would need to leapfrog.
All i'm saying is they are essentially out of the division race if they lose to Minnesota this weekend. Yes they could still make the playoffs, but Minnesota would be in the way of that with a game and a half lead and the tiebreaker advantage.

"The NFL has levied $50,000 in fines to the Pittsburgh Steelers and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders for faking an injury during an Oct. 21 game in Cincinnati. Sanders was fined $15,000 and the organization $35,000. Sanders grabbed the back of his leg and collapsed to the ground during the fourth quarter of Pittsburgh's 24-17 win."

Just gotta get hot at the right time. Atlanta is on fire right now but I don't think they will be able to keep it up. Same goes for CHicago.
