yeah its a tough road ahead for the lions....but with a win this week we would be over .500 and essentially control our own destiny....if we start beating some of the teams on our schedule that have winning records we have a chance at the playoffs

If the Lions score more points than the other teams in those games they will have a good chance at winning those games too.

my point was that over the last 2 years where we have played good football...we still haven't beaten the teams that are at the top of the league

the lions need more role players. it's great to have playmakers, but you need steady hands around them to give them more opportunities. from everything i've seen of the lions this year, they're getting killed by teams that focus on stafford, megatron and suh because there aren't enough people doing their parts around them. it's gotta be maddening to have to watch titus young and nick fairly play every week

They need standout players on defense, still. Suh isn't playing the way I thought he would by now.

I think you're seeing that on offense with Ryan Broyles getting more and more time. Scheffler and Pettigrew are a good pair of tight ends. Mikel LeShoure and Joique Bell are proving to be respectable on the ground. I'm not concerned about the offense going forward. They just have to execute.

They have one, Louis Delmas. Unfortunately it looks like he can't stay on the field. Willie Young is a nice player but man does he need to get his head out of his ass. Same with Fairley. The secondary has been a pleasant surprise.

The Lions have to have the toughest remaining schedule in the NFL right now. Two against the Packers, one against the Bears, then you've got the Vikings, Colts, Falcons, Texans, and Cardinals. Hoo boy.

    That's "tough"? Lol lol lol.

First off, that's essentially our same schedule. Vikings 2x, Lions, Packers, Cardinals, Texans, Seahawks, and 49ers.

Second, Vikings aren't special, they're above .500, but loss some steam after that hot start, same shit wit the Cardinals, now on a 5 game losing streak, and Colts tough? =)) They definitely picked up, but nah son. But yea, 5 tough games I guess. Packers 2x, us, Texans, and Falcons.

The Colts have outperformed most of the teams in the NFL. They are definitely a tough team to play. Ask the Packers.

The Lions have the toughest remaining schedule in the NFL by winning percentage. Look it up.

I honestly think the Bears are the best team in football right now.
  • Chicken_FuckerChicken_Fucker Posts: 15,691 destroyer of motherfuckers
Idk about total win percentage but NO has Atlanta twice, San Fran, and the Giants in the next 5 weeks. Thats pretty tough

Kidding aside doe, Rex has a point. Since 2011 the Lions are 0-8 vs NFC playoff teams. I think they have 4 games remaining against "likely" NFC playoff teams

thats what im saying...if we start preforming and beating some of those teams we could make the playoffs.....the vikings and packers both currently have better records then us...but the packers have a bye this week and play us next week....and we play the vikings this week...if we win both we will be in second place in our division

and the bears play the texans and 49ers...2 games that could be won or lost...if they lose both and win both...or even if they lost one....were right back in the race if we take care of business
