They should fire Morris, Fontenot and the rest of the staff. This is basically a repeat of what’s been happening the last 3 seasons, just with some different people at the helm. They made a slew of stupid decisions in the off-season that are coming home to roost now. Not the least of which was ignoring the pass rush. This season should’ve been like shooting fish in a barrel to get to the playoffs. Throw in the fact that the organization fucked my parents over with fine print on their season tickets, and I’m pretty over this bullshit franchise. I wish we could wipe them out and start over
Yeah I'd be pissed too. I think penix could be good, but that coupled with his age and singing cousins, and not drafting latu, or someone else at 8 was a big mistake imo.
They stuck it into the fine print that for their season tickets, they had to pay an extra $500 for some PSL bullshit. My mom didn’t even know what a PSL was. I had to explain that it usually had some sort of property attached to it. She was never able to figure it out and apparently nobody on the phone could answer it either. So if they didn’t pay the $500 by a certain date, they lost access to their tickets. She also said the perks of the tickets were bullshit. Like they placed free t shirts in their seats before a game, but they gave them both size smalls that won’t even fit my 12 year old. It’s just shady af and emblematic of what a fucking garbage franchise they are. Y’all probably don’t now, but they leveraged a move to Los Angeles to get public money to help build the new stadium. It was around the time before we went to the Super Bowl when Ryan and Jones were still in their prime and they had hype behind the team. Ever since they opened the new stadium (which we didn’t fucking actually need), the team has been shit. At this point, I wish they had moved the team to fucking LA. Get a new franchise here with new people. I’m so sick of their incompetence
Also, Belichick did an interview discussing his courtship with the Falcons. He said that he was put off by Terry Fontenot’s arrogance about his drafting. If they don’t fire that mother fucker now…
Needed a pass rush since 2017 and as a solution he traded for 32 year old Matt Judon coming off an injury
This after drafting a fucking TE #4. A TE that currently looks like a major bust
And also drafting a RB #8 when we already had a 1,000 yard rusher on the roster. Bijan is talented, but no great franchises are out there drafting running backs in the top 10 anymore.
Pitts isn’t a good blocker and they run him out as a receiver too much. As a TE, he’s gifted, but if you run him out as a receiver too much the way they do, it’s easier to defense him. Teams with taller defensive backs can key in on him. And that’s what’s happened since Matt Ryan left. Basically, with him and Bijan together, they rely on the running game to keep defenses off balance when they do pass to either player. But Zac Robinson is using the same sort of west coast/spread style offense a lot of teams have adopted and that kills the impact both of those players could have. Tbh, Arthur Smith’s offense was better for them, but he was addled with shitty QB play the last 2 years. Now they have a competent QB but they telegraph their intentions too much to the defense and negate the coverage problems other teams would be facing if Cousins played under center more
He's also revolutionizing the game before our eyes IMO.
5 years ago teams were going for it a bit more on 4th, but they weren't running the ball on 3rd and 8.
He has turned 3rd down basically into 2nd down. Making it even harder for the defenses to know what's going on. In 20 years I really believe we're going to be laughing at the idea of punting the ball.
Part of me wonders if kickers and punters will even be on rosters in 20 years lol. Probably kickers but I really think punting is going to be very minimal.
Welp this season is over. Fucking brutal end to the best season I’ve ever seen in my life. I hope they fire the strength and conditioning staff into the fucking sun.
Lions had one of the most healthy team last year. Most of these injuries are just unfortunate things that happen in football. They are all adding up.this year.
I think we still make the NFC championship. I hope someone knocks pff Philly though because we won't be able to stop.their rushing attack with the current defense.

The roster is fairly talented. You're missing a few pieces, but it's not an ass team.
Kind of ass play callers though. Plus kirk is kirk. Hes good, but also can be pretty bad.

Fucking idiot
Like idk of he loafs half the time or he drops the ball a lot, or what it is.

I know they are gon a get home field, but I just can't see them coming out of the afc.
My gut tells me the Chargers are close, but need another year or two of roster building.
Really feels like the ravens/bills year this year.
