the lions need secondary help.....i would love suh....and if hes there we better take him(i think he will be) but i hate the idea of drafting a DT so damn early
It's Suh or trade down at #2. Suh has proven to be much better than McCoy and he's shown his potential. Trade down and take Okung if Suh is taken first.
I'd totally take that for another high pick. I'm pretty sure Suh will be there and the Lions won't get any offers that will blow them away, but I've been wrong before.
The NFL owners voted to change an element in the overtime rule, giving the team that loses the coin toss at the start of overtime to get a possession if the coin-toss winning team scores a field goal with the first possession.
lol, Donavan McNabb's really gonna be confused now.
"Alright, that's much better. I assume that's for every overtime game and not just the playoffs."
The proposal passed 28-4. As it is written, the rules change applies just for the postseason, but the owners also decided to discuss adopting the changes for the regular season at their next meeting, in May in Dallas.

ah bullshit. about 55 percent of the teams that win the toss go on to win the game. Thats not overwhelming odds and doesnt a lot in football come down to chance?
thats also a BS statistic. Kickers have become more accurate over the years and that influences the game more. I dont see how anyone could see this as less fair.
I don't see why anyone would oppose this. It keeps the sudden death aspect of overtime intact, while at the same time making it more fair than a team driving 30 yards and kicking a 40-50 yard field goal to win the game.
again im going to have to take the old stand by and say all you have to do is play some defense. Offense and Defense are equal parts of the game. we shouldnt be rewarding mediocre defensive play by saying its ok one half of your team failed because the other half can make it up. Teams that cant play both sides of the field shouldnt be advancing in the playoffs anyway
