I didn't think they could/would either. Besides the metalheads and black prostitutes, downtown baltimore in that area shuts down at 9pm spare Baltimore St (strip clubs/titty bars), a few night clubs, and then the Sonar.

Basically this. The whole place is dead outside of the small gangs walking around and whores around the bus stops about two blocks from the Sonar.
The parking lot is a little bit of a zoo though, generally, with a small cop presence making sure insane stuff isn't going on (ie hard drugs, obscene underage drinking). If you have a lull in who you want to see, the parking lot is a fine place to pound a few drinks.
In previous years, it was easy to find decent gaps to go back to the hotels to drop off merch, slam beers, etc. since everything is walking distance. Hardest part is the hill going up streets. This year I don't see much free time with this lineup.
not too much, prolly around $60-$70 a night for 4 nights, thats just a guess. I get discount at bestwestern, so i'll have to check and see, but it should be around that price range...

If you could get me a number, that'd be killer, because I can't quite throw the dough around right now after spending on tickets. I'd totally be down to see about grabbing a hotel room, but I need to see what's efficient.

Oh nah... I wouldn't need the money now. I can just give them my card to book the room, they won't take the money out till I checkout. So you wouldn't have to give me any dough till that weekend. I'm just tryna make sure I have doods to split the bill so I don't have to pay all on my own.
