That was a chill day. Something has arisen that may impede me from actually attending the University of Arizona.
What happened?
I have been convinced to write an appeal to UT Austin.
Smart move. They had to have fucked up if they didn't accept you. I'm sure they will look over again and all that and you should be in. Burnt orange is awaiting your arrival :>

Besides, UT has set the bar so high when it comes to shootings, it will never be topped.
Maybe I'll just stay in the Bay Area...
If you can afford to go out of state, I'd recommend it. It's good to get out of your comfort zone.
I recommend against it, unless the school really merits going out of state. I don't know if you have any idea what you want to study, but as an example I will discuss engineering because I am very familiar with that degree.
When it comes to Engineering, there is one school (MIT) that is above and beyond better then any other college that offers an engineering degree. Engineers that go to MIT will almost always have an easier time getting jobs because of the reputation that school has. It is very difficult to get into, and the ones that do are the nerds of the nerds. Every other college is exactly the same. As long as it is an accredited engineering school, that degree will open the same doors that any other accredited engineering school. Ohio State, is no better then the University of Washington, which is no better then Texas, which is no better then USC. Going out of state will cost you 4-10 times more then staying in state.... IT. ISN'T. WORTH. IT. (unless it is the MIT of the field you want to study).

Michigan is a top-tier engineering school too, but I'm a tad biased. :P
Oh, and Rush floats my boat. I'm still in an amazing mood from the show last night.
No it isnt. A good school? Absolutely. But MIT really is all alone as far as engineering schools go (especially the case for EE and CS).
We could debate all day long about Michigan being better then University of washington, however when either EE grad is interviewed for a job, a deciding factor will NOT being the schools. And that is my point... Going out of state is almost always a bad idea. Unless there is a really good reason to do so.
I've literally seen engineers get hired almost solely for the fact of being an EE from MIT. And having worked with some MIT grads I kinda know why. I dont think it is necessarily the school, but the bar to get in is so high that you kinda know what you are getting.
