So, in addition to the whole quitting my job thing.
My last day is July 3rd, and the start date for my next job isn't until Aug 6th, which means that I literally have a full month off to do whatever the hell I want. Be jealous.
My last two jobs I arranged it so I quit on a Friday and started my new job on Monday. Would be nice to take some time off in between jobs but I owe my ex 35,000/year in child support and that doesn’t take a break if I do. Sucks. Oh and that money is after taxes (ie I’ve got to pay income taxes on it. So it’s about 50k of my before tax income I gotta pay her )

Ands it’s more like 50k. I give her 35k and I give the irs 15k for her 35k. If I didn’t have to pay taxes on the money I’m forced to give her then I’d be up 15k.
I dont mind paying her money so my girls have a good quality of life with her. What pisses me off is that I’ve got to pay taxes on money I never even see. She should pay taxes on that money! Not me. (Ie my yearly income taxes should be the tax rate on how much I made that year minus 35k in child support. And she should pay taxes on how much she made plus child support)
