pretty much got an entry level position lined-up at Google some time in the next month. Hopefully I can actually make it out here in the bay on my own for a few years.

No sir. I wish I made that much. This is why I don't really agree with raising minimum wage to $15. One those are entry level jobs not meant to make a career out of and two because if you do things right you can afford to live comfortably. I take care of my wife and two kids on that income she stays home. I own two 2009 and newer vehicles and my own house. I don't make a ton of money but because of correct planning I make it work and still get to have fun.
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
Maybe not 15. But it should be more than 8-9 dollars an hour. Im on salary but it equals out to about 16 an hpur and with the cost of living where im at and the rent prices i would would be cutting it extremely thin living without a roomate.
Now i have a roomate and probably the cheapest rent in the city. We worked out a deal with the landlord when we moved in that he wouldnt ever raise the rent so we pay dirt cheap and am able to save money and live very comfortably.
It would depend on area. Not everyone has the same cost of living and I get that. I'm just against people saying it needs to be $15 minimum across the board. I'm feeding 4 with $17.50 an hour and have been since I was at $14

Yeah i don't necessarily think there should be a flat minimum wage across the country. If that was the case then there should be a flat cost of living. I am in favor of a hike in minimum wage...just not such a drastic one.
and yeah im lucky. If its needed id work more, but my boss would also give me more money even though im salary.
Once i have a car it will probably be about 40. It takes me an hour to get to and from work so my boss cuts me some slack on getting in a little late and cutting a tad early.
