I'm in San Jose this week rubbing elbows with corporate executives. Typical day has been 8am-6pm meetings then dinner at some high class restaurant where they are buying 100+ dollar bottles of wine. I'm typically not a wine drinker but at the this price point it is actually very good. Getting pretty wasted \m/
flying home friday then im off to Florida for a week

San Jose or Sunnyvale. Last night ate dinner at some French restaurant near the mall in San Jose, Across the street where every other car was a tesla, and the ones that weren't tesla were either porche or BMW. Right now I'm sending this email from a meeting with Microsemi's CEO and Vice Presidents. I'd say lets meet up but my days are literally 8am-1am type days.
sounds like you were at Santana Row. That area is super nice.
Don't really know the area enough to agree/disagree... It was Weird seeing how many young, hot people there was with just stupid amounts of money. Must have seen at least 50 women last night I would have loved to get my dick wet but were way out of my league. Someone making 200k/year had no chance with these bitches... It's more like how many millions in you primary checking account.
living up in san jose/sf is insanely expensive. I have a few friends, one of whom was valedictorian in both jr high and high school, who got a good paying job in the city but he barely makes enough to get by and works like 55 hour work weeks. most all of norcal is super desirable but living that way isnt worth it to me at all.
the golden area of pay is where engineering meets creativity... ie google. I know a 22 year old kid who just got an insanely high paying job as one of their programmers.
yeah living in San Francisco is nearly impossible. a friend of mine just got a job in SF and he's looking for places to live in the bay. he's gonna have to live in oakland, cuz the cheapest spot he found in SF is $1650 for a 1 bedroom apartment

Tonight was insane... Was taken to Alexander's Steak House in Cupertino. There was roughly 15 of us... Everyones main course was a 250 dollar steak called the tamahawk. That was the price for the steak only. We probably drank 3k in wine. I would be very surprised if our bill was less then 10k.
I haven't ever been to a place like this. Nor would I if it was my money. Wasn't even nearly as good as the steak I had last week which was a fraction of the price.
I just can't fathom ordering and paying that much for a meal I know wake didn't pay for it but that's crazy money how pretentious is that restaurant? did Jamie Oliver jizz on the steak for that price.......or did the steak come from Gordon Ramsey's pet cow?
