theres a huge difference between not growing up and settling for less.
someone whos a manchild isnt emotionally "there" and keeps themselves stuck in the childlike mindset. they have no desire to care for themselves, so when the nipple runs dry, they curl up and die of diabetes or become telemarketers.
settling for less may include trying your hardest at what you want to be but not actually achieving it. you might play guitar and record/produce stuff you create, but you realize youll never be tony iommi or rick rubin, so you continue your passion in different ways, maybe playing a few shows with a few venues every now and then, or producing or assisting production of other peoples' work for a modest amount of money.
when youre a manchild, yeah, it does, life sucks ass because you let it.
not that I want to get involved in a mcfuck thread pt 60 but how can you have such a negative outlook when you just recently got an audio engineering internship which you even admitted was pretty cool? :-?
youve done more hands on production than I have and I dont hate my life. we seem to have similar goals, Im just a little confused.

You know that old saying "Money can't buy happiness?". People should really change that to "Money can't prevent sadness". I mention that now because the same principle is applying to MC right now. Not with money, but with the cool internship.
how could your future be dismal if your passion is focused on creating music? you can still hate yourself and put out classic jams. just literally go out with a bang like kurt cobain.

If you dont grow up, people bitch that you're a "manchild". So go become boring

The rest of my life is still the same. And my future is dismal.
