GameStop is trash lmfao I never even received my confirmation email on the PS5 and apparently that was an extremely widespread problem. Meanwhile Best Buy already charged me in full and I'm paid off thru them. Glad I was paranoid and did a second preorder. Finna cancel the GameStop one.
Jus finished Paper Mario Origami King after 31 hours. Gets a 9/10 from me. Missing point is only because of the admittedly flawed combat system and if it wasn’t for that, this would easily be a perfect 10 and uncontested game of the year for me. I enjoyed it THAT much and the charm is on the level of Odyssey.
Ending was so fucking charming and made my eyes water jus like the musical part in Odyssey, for the same reasoning.
Everything from the writing, to the design, to the exploration, to the art direction, was jus absolutely fucking flawless, and the only mark against it is the questionable combat. The combat isn’t prominent enough to ruin the game, and it’s also avoidable about 50% of the time. So that’s why even tho it’s not that enjoyable of a combat system, it only takes a point off, because it’s not in your face and constant enough to ruin the game. Not even close. But I enjoyed every second of this, (Minus boss fights) and jus like Odyssey, 4+ hour sessions on it went by like they were minutes.
This is a 2020 must play imo and it’s a Goddamn SHAME it got so slept on smh.
Finished both Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality and Sly 3.
R&M is above average. It's more of a simulator type game with a couple mini games thrown in. It's funny but it doesn't reach trover/show. Motion controls are wonky and you have to play standing up with space around you. Coming in short @ 5 hrs playtime. 7/10
Sly 3 I got the platinum. Enjoyed it more than 2. The minigames were less annoying than 2. Really fun overall. The platforming isn't as precise as I'd like it but still works well. Took about 15 hrs to do everything. 8/10

Feels bad if they make it Xbox exclusive though
