Garden Warfare is awesome, inFAMOUS: Second Son was cool, I liked Titanfall - but played it on PC, Sunset Overdrive looks cool, new Battlefield actually looks really cool, will still get LBP3 because who cares what IGN thinks, would get the Halo Collection if I had an Xbone, Dead Rising was kinda cool - but is on PC and could have been a little better
Looking forward to Battlefront 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, Arkham Knight, new Dragon Age seems cool, amongst some other games Im sure Im forgetting.
I would look into a CoD if it was all zombies. I actually think they could pull off a cool zombie shooter if they tried, and I do like the zombies mode in CoD.
Nintendo turned themselves around hard with the Pokemon and all the JRPGS on 3DS, and Smash, Mario Kart, Bayonetta, and Donkey Kong Country on the Wii U.
Still kinda want a Vita too for Uncharted, and some PSP games I missed because I never had a PSP.

Honestly thinking about it now... (outside of Nintendo) I am very disapointed in this next gen so far. There are a handful of good games, but Ive yet to find one I think is really great. I guess my favorite game so far this gen is Garden Warfare. I dont even have a game of the year list going this year because honestly I think the only new games Ive gotten this year were Smash Bros 3DS, and Legend of Korra. And Azure Striker Gunvolt, and TWD Season 2, thinking about it.
I cant believe the mixed reviews for LBP3. Was really looking forward to it. I will still probably pick it up, but I expect 9s and 10s for LBP, not 6s or 7s. It sucks.
There is a problem when the highest scoring games are CoD, AssCreed, and remasters/remakes. Maybe they are good games. They dont interets me, so I wont buy them. But its sad that other games wont step it up. There is a problem when every game has launch issues now. Day 1 patches and launch issues should be the exception, not the standard.
It's a lot more difficult to makes games now then it was 20 years ago. Putting together something like the first metal gear solid, compared to the new one coming out isn't even fair. Your expectations of games not having bugs is ridiculous. PS3/Xbox 360 were not very strong consoles after the first year. Most of the games that this gen will be remembered for are either coming out next year ( the division, MGS) or haven't even really been announced yet. Give these consoles some time before you declare them Woat.
You're acceptance of game dev's excuses, failure to release finished products, and decline of quality is whats rediculous. Because its harder to make games? So fucking what. Put the time in. I demand quality. Launch errors and bugs tell me you didnt put the time in, and are just launching to meet a deadline. Its a bad business practice. Gaming as a industry is starting to become too much like the music industry. Quantity over quality and money rules it. I hate that.
Dev's work 7 days a week 12-16 hour days in the last couple months before release. You're misdirecting your blame. If there is anyone to blame its the publishing companies. They are the ones responsible for putting these unrealistic deadlines on games, forcing them to go gold before they are ready.
When TMNT: Out of the Shadows was released, it got slammed for being buggy and having multiplayer that didnt function. Every big release that came out this year has had the same issue, but is still being praised. What happened? Why are we suddenly content with mediocrity?
Apparently. I was hoping LBP3 was going to be innovative. Expanding upon the formula like the second one expanded on the first. But apparently all they added was 12 more layers to stage editing, and three new characters. Its depressing.

CoD servers only had a problem one day, and it wasn't even laugh day. Game has been pretty damn solid, yet you bitch about all these incomplete MP games at launch, the one you bitch about the has actually had the most successful MP launch in some time lol.

PS4/Xbone woat gen so far.
CoD and WoW did fix them. Cool. Still shouldnt have happened to begin with. Especially with WoW.
The others are still broken.
Its like the gaming industry is constantly releasing St. Anger and we're ok with it.
