After 6 months, 4 failed inspections, countless visits to houses and countless bids, I finally signed closing docs on a house. 

As long as nothing happens between now and Friday, which im not sure anything can, we will be closing on friday. 

Unfortunately we dont take possession for another 7 days after that, but we will be moving in right before Christmas, which is lit af.

Today i got a text from my relator. The sellers asked if they could take their doorbell that is programmed to their phones and stuff. 

The deal when buying a house is that if its screwed down, it typically stays. So i told our relator that i feel like they should have asked sooner, and its too late. 

Those smart doorbells are expensive, and we wanted one lol. I kind of feel like a dick but they should have asked sooner 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah thats basically how i felt. It felt mean, but what it really is, is them trying to take advantage of nice people. 

If they would have asked for it during negotiations id probably say fine. But now? Nah 

you just got 200k from us. Buy your own damn doorbell.
