Just looked it up, seems stupid. Looks like people are complaining about some rant the singer went on but from what I can tell it really wasn't that bad considering they're a punk band?
Also see people complaining about how they were kicked off even though it looks like Lyman confirmed that their last scheduled day on the tour was gonna be Sunday anyway so it's not like they were kicked off either.
Idk, it's dumb to complain about their stage banter, but also kinda silly to say that they were kicked off when they weren't. Kinda fuels the whole "anti PC" crowd. Just seems overblown IMO.
Anyone surprised that him yelling the comments he did at a (15 years old, i believe?) girl in the crowd upset people is foolish. I personally don't really care either way about it as far as being offended or not, especially considering they let bands like Attila and Blood on the dance floor perform. But I'm not surprised he got kicked off, Kevin Lyman has to save his own ass in the end and I can't say I blame him.
It really doesn't even matter anyways, seeing as it was the Dickies' last date on the tour regardless.
What's funny to me is that there have been so many sex offenders on Warped recently that Hard Times made a joke about the stage having to be pushed back 100 feet so the bands could perform in front of children legally. That's okay, but bands that jokingly offer to go down on everyone (male or female) are sick perverts?
Side note: I saw the lead singer from Sick of it All antagonize kids to attack a group of duds for playing hackeysack on the edge of their crowd at Warped '98. He even called them fags. Nobody flinched.

I listened to their bandcamp. They're pretty typical hardcore, which makes me wonder who their influences are. Because if you're into hardcore, the chances that your favorite bands (and their favorite bands) are antagonistic misanthropes is pretty high. So how can you justify being angry at a band for being that way? Especially a really old band that has been a part of that scene for 2 generations

You're half right. WoW are typically the kind of band that I'd have expected to refuse Warped tour, but they said they agreed because warped said they would allow the organization "Safer Scene" to tag along. Which is whatever. They are somewhat associated with WoW, but the band themselves didn't tell the girl to go "sabotage" the band, like some people accused them of. That was my first question when I met them, as that would be been kinda sketchy to do. Musically, yeah, they're typical hardcore/punk who write about equality. I thought they were a total gimmick till I met them. In not gonna go buy their mercy and such now, but I'd go see them play live if they toured with a band I dig.
