Nah. They literally pay every person down. Anyone who brings their phone has to put it in a lock pouch. Anyone caught using a phone is immediately ejected.
Roommate almost cut his finger off on the saw today.
Our whole department had to watch an updated safety video on the saw because nationwide we had 29 incidents on the saw lol go figure, the week we have to watch this video some dumb broad that works the "deli" area decided to fuck around and turn the lights off when only one guy was in the room and was on the saw at the time. Dude just about flipped his shit yelling at her.
I would have too. Fuck that noise. Just cutting ham steaks. He just noticed his finger was bleeding under his fingernail or something like 5 minutes after. No thanks.

What a rebel. The problem is people are shit. They can't be trusted to not bring their phone in because they'll just lie and use it anyway. As a comedian, there's a lot less replay value with jokes than there is with music. Especially a high profile dude like Chapelle, people would totally put that shit on youtube. They probably already have. Basically there's a perfectly valid reason behind it and if you don't like it then that's cool, don't go.
Oh, I understand the reason. Still wouldn't go. Just don't get what the big deal is over someone deciding to not attend something because they'll force you to leave your phone at home, in your car, or they'll take it at the door. There's really only a few comedians I'd care enough to see live anymore, the rest are dead

I find that hilarious because I'm sure people are gonna ignore that shit
if you can't handle being away from your phone for a few hours you need to change the way you're living your life.
