The first guy I ever met that I would consider "successful" was my wife's former boss. Owns his own multi million dollar business, big house, nice cars, big tv's and all that. Built an Official sized soccer field in his yard when his kids joined soccer. Currently building his log home to retire in. Does flight for life.

It didn't take long to start looking at the guy to try and figure out how he was doing it all and adapting some of those habits myself. I sure seemed busy, and I probably was, but a lot of the stuff I was "busy" with wasn't where I needed to be focusing my attentions.
Seeing someone who could actually show me what it takes to be successful was a huge turning point for me.
Well after losing 80 pounds in 2012, I got freight trained by life and depression and gained every last pounder back plus a couple for the fuck of it. It was significantly harder to reach this point the second time around but think I'm on the right track again. Every time I tried I would have little cracks in my system that kept me from being hard on myself from eating habits to working out that would eventually shatter everything. I'm back in the frame of mind where I can't fuck up or slip and be easy and rationalize shit for myself.
I miss the job I had last time though. Worked outside all summer doing physical labor and could wring me shirt out by the time I left so I had that on top of my regular workout schedule afterwards
People are dumbing themselves down. No one wants to put forth effort anymore.
They are, but they're (we're?) also heavy manipulated into thinking that being a sloth is ok. Just watch how badly commercials make being a sloven douchebag is funny, popular and thoroughly awesome.

Sure they throw brain numbing shit at you all day, but consuming it is a choice. So is stimulating it. Yes reality tv sucks. But we also live in an age where I can talk directly to Neil Degrasse Tyson on Facebook. I can watch all the TED talks I want. I can listen to podcasts and audio books on any subject I want. I can get connected to experts in just about any field I have an interest in. It all comes down to simple choices and time management.
I agree. I feel like I've been fairly successful at knowing the machine. It's just that so many tenets of our society have been manipulated by steady propaganda over a long period of time. The ever expanding presence of media has made it very easy for narrative to be controlled. I've seen all these memes this week blaming CNN for inflating Hitlary's success during the debate because their parent Time-Warner is a leading campaign contributer. Only now, because Bernie Sander's Millenial post-South Park post-Daily Show post-Matrix kids are starting to kinda notice the strings leading to the puppeteer. I kinda wanna be mean to them like "Duh, idiots. It's only been happening forever." Took people long enough. The Beatniks had been playing that shit on the jukebox since the 50s. But I'm stoked that they're starting to pay attention that I can't help but be supportive. It's funny to me that a strong undercurrent of people getting into the Alex Jones-ey, Bilderberg/Rothschild/Rockefeller stuff mainly ended up paying attention because they're racists and went down the birther trail to the fringes. I can't hate on that either. People would likely disagree at first, but we need those rednecks on our side. Survivalists (read: gun hoarders) are useful if the shit really hits the fan. There is something there pointing people in the right direction, it's just minuscule compared to the Fox/ESPN/TMZ/Disney distraction monster. They came across proof last month that the CIA funded 'Zero Dark Thirty', a movie I've maintained since I first read about its production was a complete work of fiction. Hopefully we are in the beginning stages of a mass awakening. Ben Fulford says we are. People know about Tim Ossman now. They know about HAARP. nd realize Americans don't know about Jimmy Savile or Jeffrey Epstein and their connections up top. People will revolt when they all realize who's calling the shots and what sort of monsters they are. One of his new songs "House of Cards" has really been haunting me lately, and I wasn't gonna ask him about it till I saw him, but I couldn't get it out of my head so I messaged him. Worst fears confirmed, song is about his brother passing away. His brother paid a big role in turning my life around and getting shit on the right track.
It doesn't seem really though. His brother Fred was the most physically intimidating dude I've ever met. Take the Overreem that fought Brock, add a few more inches and another 60 lbs of muscle and that was Fred. Steve was always about 300 lbs and I once saw Fred snatch him up by the neck and pick him up off of the ground with one hand like he was a 40 lb child.

Prolly not the right time to mention it but I finally listened to Prozak and Christ that was terrible. Made it 50 seconds into the Your Creation video before I had to turn it off.
