Wanna rap again, not exclusively, but just to throw it in here and there for variation and to have that double threat. But I gotta reinvent myself cause I don't wanna rap like I used to.
Plus Drake inspired me since he's full blown singing on tracks now and just killing it no matter what kind of vocals he delivers. Nobody in the game is doin that, I wanna deliver a double threat like that. Plus I pass up so many dope beats cause they're meant to be rapped on and so I don't wanna sing on em.
Plus, I don't wanna say my lyricism is regressing, cause I'm pleased wit my final products, but I'm becoming less quick witted, and I think that's simply because writing RnB lyrics requires a lot less words and isn't based on punchlines and metaphors like Hip Hop lyrics. So for instance, you could write a 16 bar verse for both an RnB track and a Hip Hop track, and while being the same length, the Hip Hop verse is gonna have bout double the amount of words. But yea I feel like if I get back in that swing of writing bars, that it'll ultimately cross over and make my RnB lyrics better and more clever/unique.
