Its been a few days... still no response from my friend. :-< So either she's actually giving a lot of thought into the idea, or she's hoping she can just ignore it away.
Based on the initial reaction, and the time its taking for a response (or to talk at all), I'm taking it as a "no". Still I'd like a response. I hate my obsessive brain.
My mom actually brought up that she was wondering if we were going to start dating again. I told my mom I actually already asked my friend out, and told her the response I got. My mom said she didn't blame me for asking, we were spending a lot of time together, and it looked like we were interested. But she said she also understands why my friend would say no, that our friendship is important, and that we are both very similar and "compatible" and that idea may be frightening. She also added that she said no to my father the first time he asked my mom out.
I know my mom just said those things to comfort me, but it does at least give a little hope.
I just hope things don't get really awkward. We're supposed to go see Agalloch together next week, and whatnot.
Me? Not yet. I will though. Was waiting a few days to see if she reached out first. I just dont know if I should ask again, since I didnt get a response, tell her my thoughts and whatnot, or just say "how goes it" and see where it leads.
For the last 3 years we've been friends I've been going back and forth with feelings for her. This was just the first time I vocalized it. I can be friends with her if she says no. Dissapointed and kinda depressed maybe. But yea, I can remain friends.
