they banned squatting and deadlifting? why? it's a gym. i don't even lift but that's kinda weird IMO. what's their reasoning for it? don't want people getting hurt and suing?
"That's another thing I love about metal, it's so fuckin' huge yet certain people don't even know it exists." - Rob Zombie
Yea, they did. "Makes too much noise.". Don't try and lie, their rules are all over the Internet and are the laughing stock of every single lifting forum I go on.

and I'm sure most of them are exaggerated bs from butthurt people who think grunting is the only way of working out.
Typical opinion from someone who goes to Planet Fitness. You do your pin drop silent workouts and not leak a drop of sweat, while me and all the others that are serious about this shit put passion into it and bust our asses. And who the fuck is butthurt? We laugh at your joke of a fucking gym. ) Ain't nobody butthurt. We stay out of the gym and simply laugh at it.
And making noise while lifting isn't being "obnoxious". I don't do it to make a scene, and at that, I don't constantly do it, I don't do it purposely at all. When you're going for a new max and using everything in you to push that fucking weight, yea, you're not gonna stay dead silent. When you're tryna push out that one last rep and struggling, sometimes a quick little outburst just happens and it drives that last rep. But like I said, that's clearly foreign to you.
Yeah you gotta let some grunts out not over the top but its gonna happen. And who just softly sets weight down?
Exactly, whenever I drop weights, it's sometimes just 'cause I'm fired up, but most the time, it's a safety thing. If I push wit everything I got to hit that last rep and I'm about to hit failure, I'm not gonna risk hurting myself by tryna softly set it back down wit proper form, I just let that shit drop. It's the fucking gym, not a library. Luckily, we don't have faggot ass Planet Fitness rules at my gym. Literally the only rule put up ANYWHERE is "Please don't spit in the water fountains or garbage cans.". )
But yea, we have no rules against dropping weight or making noise. I've gotten 3 complaints total about dropping the weight, and none were from employees. Just salty old faggots at the gym that can't tolerate noise.
Nice way to intentionally completely miss my point. If you're doing cardio and shit, then no, you're prolly not gonna make any noise besides heavy breathing, but if you do a full lifting session and don't make a single noise throughout that entire session, you're lifting like a bitch and not pushing yourself. I push myself beyond my limits every single time I'm in the gym, and yea, some noise gets made, that tends to happen when exerting maximum physical effort. Fuck a sensitive pussy like you who can't handle that.
When you are deadlifting who takes tbe bar with all the weight on it from the hoghest point to gently setting it down. Just drop that shit.
Yuuuup! Everyone who deadlifts serious weight at my gym just lets that shit fall. The only motherfucker I seen gently setting it down was of course, old as shit and lifting 1 plate. But all the regulars are cool anyways. Dude was even joking wit me last week, 'cause I was doing deads, and he was loading up his bar, about to do deads, and he was like "It's about to get reeeeal loud in here.". )
