they help get to the bottom of things and rationally tackle your problems and give good advice
I'm already so damn rational and logical, they really never gave me anything that I hadnt already thought though myself. I guess it was nice to have someone agree with me though.
I remember this time I was telling this chick about my childhood, and her response was "holy shit. You seem so put together. How have you been able to put that behind you and be so successful in college?" I just started loling :-)) and decided I wasnt personally getting much out of it.
I agree with you though... in general therapy can be really good at providing you perspective. Or at least being someone you can trust to bounce ideas off of.

I'm selling Cutco, and in this area it is widely regarded as a scam, but they must be feeding me some great bullshit because they have me sold.
once I was offered 14 dollars an hour selling Kerby vacuums door to door. I went out with the dude and watched as he told this old lady how she had to be concerned for her health and showed her this BS example of why his was so much better. He is all showing her pictures of his kids and shit like that... and she bought one. as we are walking away he is like laughing and tells me that the vacuums suck and he has no kids.

Just talked to my mom, we are fine again, I just flipped my shit way to hard.
i thought you worked at dennys? what happened with that?
I still do, Cutco is a part time job, at least for now. I'm not going to scam my way through sales of their product because I've seen it in action and if I be myself it will sell itself. When you have shears that cut through a penny, or a knife that cut a slice of bread in half effortlessly then you don't have to work very hard to sell it. I wouldn't have accepted the job if I thought I was going to fuck people over.

Oh cool. I wasnt implying by my kirby vacuum story, that Cutco was the same. Where are you going to sell them? hopefully you have a spot to setup shop like in a mall or something.
I'd bet you would make bank setting up a stand at a fair when it comes around.

It's weird, I sell to people I know at first, then they refer me to other people and apparently everything is set up by appointment, I go to their house show them how their knives won't cut through rope and leather and that these will and it sells itself.

Ya, kinda like that, I just need extra money because Denny's is only giving me bare bones, but I may have to quit that job. I will make twice what I make there selling knives though.

ehhhh.... not so fast kimosabe. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but it would be in your best interest to hang onto the sure thing of Dennys, to make sure you are raking in the dough with Cutco.
My wife sold something like that for a while.... jeeze... what was its name? hmmm.... oh yeah. Discovery Toys. When she started that she was like "I'll be rolling in the dollars. everyone wants everything in this mag!!!" Anyways... she made some money, but not enough to make it worth her time.
Some people really get the ball rolling on that sort of thing. Others struggle. All I am saying is dont quit dennys until this starts panning out.

This shouldnt grind my gears because I already made it through college. Cost me 3 grand per year for my Bachelors degree. Less then ten years later it costs 10,000 per year for the same degree. It is pretty much bullshit. college should be affordable for all that want to go.
