Remember the nice times you spent with your grandma Will,
cherish her memory and make her proud of you.
You're a lucky guy - I never met or knew any of my grandparents.

my mortgage company makes me want to cry. literally.
Don't you guys have really low interest rates?
Our mortgage rates are around 5%-6% at the moment
My first house I bought the interest rates were 20%
yes. I had a low interest rate, but I lost my job where my house was and I was basically living pay check to pay check (I know that is stupid). Anyways I couldnt find a job where my house was so I had to move from Seattle to NY to take a job making less money but still able to support my family and myself. From the time I bought the house to now, the house has gone 200k down in value. Naturally I dont have that 200k shortcoming so I am selling the house for less then what I owe and the bank writes off the debt because it was backed by the federal government. They do this because although they are taking a hit, it is a lot less expensive then the whole foreclosure process.

The thing is... it was the mortgage companies that basically inflated the market with prime market loans and such. and Now I am getting fucked because of it. A short-sale (which is what I am doing) does kill my credit, but it allows me to climb back out of the hole in a couple years. A foreclosure is going to hurt me about 4 times longer. so there it is...

I have this buyer (the third I have found), and the banks keep dragging their feet and fucking the deals up. it really sucks. everything about it sucks.

That really sucks Wakey.I feel bad for you man.I guess you just cut your losses and put it behind you and move on.I recently sold a rental property and lost $30k+ which pissed me off as I hate losing money. But it was the best and most sensible decision to make and I've moved on.It sure feels like a weight off your shoulders once you put it all behind you.Good luck

My gripe about having to iron my business shirt for work tomorrow now seems pretty trivial compared to the above :(

Yeah.... it sucks but it is a pretty common thing over here in the US right now. I should have been more financially savvy and just rented a house instead of buying. I had a feeling that the housing market was inflated, but everything just kept going up so I ignored my instincts. my bad, oh well... Just trying to push though it because like you said... If I can get this behind me it will be a HUGE relief off my shoulders.

when I moved to California, I had my choice of living in Sacramento or San Jose. I looked at the housing prices in San Jose and the cheapest thing I could find was a single wide trailer in a trailer park for $600,000 dollars. It's crazy that a single wide can be 600k where whole houses else where are 28k.

it would take me forever to post one because my motherboard died and i won't have my home computer back online until at least the 6th. it's a 4 br, 2 full bath on 1 acre with a 30 ft in-ground pool. it was a "trap house", if you dig me. there were hidden cameras installed in the front door and on the sides of the house. one room had a fart fan installed in the middle of the room to get rid of the fumes from whatever they were cooking up. when we were renovating the master bedroom, i found syringes between the walls. so...it's not a perfect home by any means. for that price, it's been a steal though. i raise pit bulls, so i've had virtually no issues from the local meth monsters.

I don't know what it is, but I just threw my phone, my computer(it survived so I'm fucking relieved), and threw a bunch of shit around my room and just burst into tears. I'm so tired and I actually like my jobs but they are going to kill me at this rate.

Therapy has never been any good for me other then being someone I could trust to bounce ideas off of. I've never got any answers from counseling other then what I figured out myself by saying my problems out loud.
