i would prob say Rams head is the worst venue in md, as while its the "upscale" club the sound is just terrible and kind of echoey. To me, the best venues in baltimore are the sonar club stage, or the Ottobar.
Best venues i've been too in general are Jaxx in VA, and the Chamillion in Lancaster PA
The best clubs for me in Michigan are The Machine Shop and Blondies. The best arena is Cobo Arena.
The worst arena is Joe Louis Arena. Love that place to death but the acoustics are terrible. I'm not sure if I've been in a club so far that I haven't liked.....
I know a lot of people in Michigan hate DTE. I like it, personally. The only problem I have with it is the lack of a pit area.
I haven't been to a club I hate either. Jake you should find a show at the Majestic if you haven't been there. It's so..weird. It's basically the floor at the Fillmore, thats it. It's so jank yet so awesome.

Cricket Pavilion < Depends on the show...and time of day
Dodge Theater < Fail. thats where LOG likes to go..and its a venue for plays and shit. so the only pit is where the orchestra would sit and play.
Tempe Marketplace < Always free shows in the middle of a big shopping center...sometimes they get good bands...the rest of the time it sucks.
The Real Bar < Win. back when i was in my old band Inertia, we played at this venue alot...along with the clubhouse, Club Red, Venue of Scottsdale, Martini Ranch, Joes Grotto and Modified.
anywho we have a few good venues and alot of shitty venues....but...its still fun.
For the rodeo and they had Slinging Ink Tattoo Expo there. OH! and Slipknot played there and a couple others. Other than that it's not really used at all =\
Oh i forgot one. DAR Constitution Hall. sound was fine, but the entire floor are seats and that venue is reserved usually for the big Stand up comedy acts and classier bands/groups. Well Dream Theater decided to do Progressive nation 1 there.
Marquee is probably my favorite since it houses acts like Mudvayne, AILD, Chimaira, Mastodon, etc but is still relatively small. Not to mention that it's a half mile from where I'm living this semester. Although the security there are dicks.
