AEW ain’t any better honestly. It doesn’t get embarrassingly offensively bad like WWE does, but at the same time if you can’t give me a single thing to give a fuck about at ALL, that’s not really better. I’m so indifferent to AEW at this point, there’s jus zero investment. MJF was who I wanted as champ and even that has been an excruciatingly boring title reign. Dude defends it less than Roman. It’s been a promo reign basically.
But yea overall that Cody shit at WrestleMania left a real bad taste in my mouth about wrestling as a whole. I was saying I was gonna stop watching after that went down and I all but did. Like I said I have it as background noise ever since but if it involved any actual time out of my day or investment, I wouldn’t be tuning in. The fact it’s something that can be passively listened to like a podcast while I’m on the clock is the only thing keeping me up to date lmao.
The thing is, SummerSlam is basically officially the #2 “big one” of the year, so this is the only possible other PPV that it would happen at other than Mania, but who knows. Most likely this garbage gets dragged out even further until an eventual rematch at Mania.
Yeah I don’t think it’s gonna happen but where does the story go to stretch to Mania? Jimmy heel turn? Solo face turn? Jey winning would make everything come full circle.
The most satisfying and sensible (Meaning it won’t happen, the Neanderthals writing this shit ain’t capable of that.) conclusion would be Solo turning on Roman as well since the match is anything goes, being the reason he loses, and afterwards he’s exiled from the family and left wit nothing for abusing his power and being a piece of shit to everybody.
