WWE is going great with this angle, but I think all these backstage reports are bullshit, WWE is trying to play us, and are succeeding at it. Look at other reports lately, Cena has had nagging injuries and may need time off, CM Punk is said to be unhappy with his schedule and wants time off, also WWE recently trademarked CM Punk which means Punk wouldn't be allowed to use his name in the Indies anymore. Now how does this all add up, CM Punk wins the title and defends it in the indies under a different name while WWE does "State of the title" segments on Raw, Cena gets his time off by getting "Fired" and can heal his injuries, and CM Punk comes back and gets his name, simple as that. I bet CM Punk signed a new contract long ago.
Sources within WWE have revealed that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and Triple H are said to be very angry at talent relations executive John Laurinaitis over his failure to re-sign CM Punk. We have been told the heat on Laurinaitis is serious because this is seen as his second serious failure this year, with the failure to keep Chris Jericho on the roster falling on Laurinaitis’ shoulders as well.
One WWE source says “this is the same job JR had for years, and it’s a heat-magnet because you’re trapped between Vince’s expectations and the talents who want to break away from the brutal schedule.”
Another company source told us “Laurinaitis has made millions in salary and stock options. He’s expected to perform for that money, and produce results. Right now, he’s not getting done the job Vince expects of him!”

It would be even better if Del Rio wins Money in the Bank then attempts to cash in on Punk only to have CM Punk win and retain the WWE Championship. That way everyone thinks they got it figured out when whoever tries to cash in on Punk thinking he will lose only to have Punk win.... BAM another curve-ball.

I would be totally cool with Del Rio not being champ for like 5 or so more years, like he comes so damn close and when he finally does win it, it will be fucking huge, and his destiny will finally be fulfilled.
- After John Cena defeated CM Punk in the main event of the WWE live event in Brisbane yesterday, Punk took the mic and put over Cena, showing respect. - Regarding the new business deal between Brock Lesnar and WWE, the latest is that the contract hasn't been signed but the details on the deal have been worked out and people close to it are talking like it's done. The deal hasn't been announced yet because there are so many parties involved - Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Vince McMahon & WWE, Dana White & UFC, as well as others. If one of those parties has a change of heart, the whole deal will fall apart. As we have noted before, this is not a deal for Lesnar and Heyman to return to WWE TV, the storylines or anything like that.
