It's different for me cause i was never much of a PR fan. And while I do think the movie looks kinda shitty, I'm not gonna go tell people that it is if i haven't actually seen it.
Dude no. You can't make an argument that sometimes change works and sometimes it doesn't if you're not going to even attempt to watch it. Literally the last few posts are you arguing about change working sometimes and sometimes not about to film franchises that you haven't even seen. It doesn't work that way. Fuck, you don't even have to pay for it. Pirate the fucking thing. You spend all your free time playing video games and watching movies anyway, may as well.
You watch The Room you've done that plenty of times.
There's a difference. The Room is a low budget B movie. I love cheesy low budget bad B movies. But they have their own charm. You could argue the original Power Rangers is basically a cheesy low budget B movie. Thats part of the charm Im talking about. Even the original movie was cheesy as hell.
The new movie just looks just plain shitty, and its a take on something that I love that I dont really think works for it.
On the flip side, Dredd is A LOT better than the Stallone Judge Dredd. Making that more gritty and dark worked for it, because it fit the tone of the world and character better.
For real. You can tell from trailers a lot of time if something looks stupid. Then you add in the creatives on it and see most of their experience is working on car commercials and the word "pass" comes to mind
If I only watched the movies I have on my ongoing "watch" list at this moment, I would never see all of them in my lifetime. There's just not enough time. Why waste my time on something I know I won't like?
