Spider-Man 3 wasted a great opportunity with Venom.

They just weren't ready for Venom imo. Like of all the people you could cast, they cast Eric Foreman? And that resulted in a scrawny Venom. The threat wasn't there at all and the character suffered because of that

Saw Sing on Christmas Eve. The story isn't a new one and it is pretty formulaic, but the cast of characters are interesting and it's a different tale on a familiar premise. Yes, most of the tunes are cheesy pop joints but that was to be expected with a mainstream movie marketed towards kids. The movie actually had a few laughs and it makes up for everything by having a boat load of heart. I really enjoyed it.
