I just feel like grittyness works for some but not others. Works for like Xmen, Ghost Rider, Batman... I dont think it works as well like Superman, Spiderman, and Fantastic Four. But we'll see.

Saw Annabelle this weekend. This was not that great of a movie compared to The Conjuring. Acting sucked, plot sucked, and every time it seemed something extremely scary was about to happen the scene fell through and failed. I wouldn't bother wasting money to see this movie in theaters

That's why I didn't even bother when I didn't see James Wan attached to it.
Kinda the same road here. I grew up liking it/watching it alot and thinking it was god. Now I don't hate it, but I liked it so much as a kid I can't help still liking it now. And tbh it really is not that bad of a movie. Its good for every once in a while nostalgic purposes lol
