the next big controversial movie is apparently called "the Killer Inside Me", starring Casey Affleck, Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson. There were several walkouts and sundance and other film festivals calling it 'sick' and 'too violent'. The main thing certain people have is that its 'extreme violence against women' trailer Release date is June 18 in prob art house theaters onlyh http://www.youtube.com/v/4vwDEd3xb9U
I got my movie fix out the way finally, and went see a couple of the newer films out there.
A Nightmare on Elm Street - Fucking atrocious!! The dialouge sucked, and the acting sucked. For as bad as the originals were Robert Englund at least made them fun to watch. There was absolutely nothing positive to bring out of this one. I knew it was gonna be bad, but goddamn. This was by far the most pointless remake in history. I would really love those 90 minutes back.
City Island - Really funny movie, just a great film all around.
A Prophet - Simply, Awesome!!!.
Iron Man 2 - Downey was great, Rourke was great, the movie itself however was not. It wasn't that it was a bad movie, it was just way too all over the place. I may even still go see it again. Fun to watch, just a notch below the first one though.
I dont know if i should be happy or shudder, as the original is one of my faves of the past few years, and in the original she is very soft spoken, before going ape shit vamp on everyone
^its one of my faves. You can find it pretty cheap at best buy (10 bucks) I have a bad feeling the remake will fuck up the deliberate pacing of the original
^its very simple, our country hates reading and watching movies. I'm certainly interested in seeing what David Fincher does with "the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."
If a movie is good enough, you don't have to read it but go with what's going on. I've done that a few times with some Japanese horror films. I don't mind reading when it comes down to it though. I just wish this country wouldn't butcher the originals most of the time.
Saw Iron Man 2 this morning, not a bad film, I personally see it as a tie between the 1st and 2nd. But 0_0....Did anyone see the footage during the credits?? so cumtastic
oh come on. like a lot of you knew there was something AFTER the credits.
movie was very good in my opinion. Wasn't better than the first, but it was really good for a sequel. I was kind of skeptical about Mickey Rourke playing Whiplash in the movie, but damn was he good and did the part really well. The Captain America little teaser was funny and yes I did stay after the credits and the Thor teaser was sweet.
