Well....so say we play miami next year and are even with Cleveland for the division with 3 games left .....we will say we sit alex avila and have martinez play...pitcher bats instead... ts that not a disadvantage for us when cleveland could use there full every day line up?
Ape either you're trolling or u stoopit. You sound like a 85 year old man wanting the old days back. Should the NFL go back to not having replay, no two point conversions, and leather helmets? Should the NBA go back to not having a three point line? Should baseball also go back to allowing spitballs to be legal and only 2 teams making he playoffs? It's called natural progression and getting rid of outdated rules, and you better get used to it because the lildikknationalleague will have it within 5 years.
High School and college teams all use the DH now. None of the pitchers bat anymore and most high school and College pitchers haven't batted since they were like 12 years old these days.
It's obsolete stop cryn about it and get used to it.
And Rex its still fair in your little situation you laid out because you're playing a team that has the same rules as you if you can't beat them that's not anyone else's fault.
Like Satan said the DH was put in place to keep players around that would not be able to play otherwise
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
The Sox somehow play better against NL teams so, I would almost be fine with it staying the same if the annoying NL fans would just stop whining about it.
Rex it's not like the Tigers have some stud that has to sit down when the DH isn't in use so I don't see your argument. The group of players that have to sit down on Detroit are pretty much 4th outfielders on any team in Baseball so I don't see your complaint.

Pot, meet kettle. Kettle, pot.
Actually I honestly don't care that the National League doesn't have it, which makes me scratch my head as far as why the National League fans care so much that the AL does have it. :-?

Why do you keep talking about next year? What does next year or Martinez have to do with anything that's going on right now in the playoffs?

No they are horrible fielders, but the position they play is OF/DH unless i'm mistaken?

have you not followed the conversation? this discussion started because i brought up the NL having the DH in the next 10 years

I assumed you were bitching about not being able to use the DH in the losses against the Giants.
