i love to read...but rarely have the time or the energy after busting my ass at work all day....but i can have headphones at work....so i started listening to books on tape today
Got this off of Amazon. The first 30 or 40pgs are a little hard to get through...
A spellbinding amalgam of murder mystery, family saga, love story, and financial intrigue.
It’s about the disappearance forty years ago of Harriet Vanger, a young scion of one of the wealthiest families in Sweden . . . and about her octogenarian uncle, determined to know the truth about what he believes was her murder.
It’s about Mikael Blomkvist, a crusading journalist recently at the wrong end of a libel case, hired to get to the bottom of Harriet’s disappearance . . . and about Lisbeth Salander, a twenty-four-year-old pierced and tattooed genius hacker possessed of the hard-earned wisdom of someone twice her age—and a terrifying capacity for ruthlessness to go with it—who assists Blomkvist with the investigation. This unlikely team discovers a vein of nearly unfathomable iniquity running through the Vanger family, astonishing corruption in the highest echelons of Swedish industrialism—and an unexpected connection between themselves.
It’s a contagiously exciting, stunningly intelligent novel about society at its most hidden, and about the intimate lives of a brilliantly realized cast of characters, all of them forced to face the darker aspects of their world and of their own lives.
Ya I just didn't wanna get yelled at for calling them books, but twd isn't a graphic novel it's an ongoing series. If u enjoy comics at all it's a must read.
Like characters that are supposed to be dead aren't and vice versa. I'll pass till the tv series is over.
It's different enough that it's like 2 different stories. The only thing they have in common is characters and some small details like glen and his girl.
Just finished reading Snow White and Russian Red. Holy fuck. It was like I just read a Polish version of Requiem for a Dream. I have no clue what just happened.

I read 'the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' trilogy. They were all a satisfying read however be warned bianca, the first book really takes an long time to pick up. For about a third of the book you will be like "This books sucks... it's going no where FAST". If you make it through the fist third of the book then you will be like "This is sweet! I can't put it down". My guess is you probably wont make it through the fist third because you seem to get annoyed with books quickly. You want shit to happen in the first chapter or two, and if it doesnt then fuck it.

But yeah, if you can get past the beginning, you're golden for the rest of the trilogy.
