When I was in my twenties I use to eat any damn thing I wanted. I ate fast food multiple times a day, and would eat Mexican that was literally caked with a pound of grease. Anyways, I'd go to the doctor and they would always say "You are in perfect health. Excellent blood pressure, excellent heart rate, excellent level of cholesterol... What ever you are doing Keep up the fantastic work". So I did. No reason to change where there isnt a problem. Is was only a few years ago that my doctor is like "Ehh... these numbers arent bad, however they could be a lot better. you should take care of yourself more". That's when I changed my habits.
I did the same thing with my contacts. Whatever I've been doing for the last 20 years seemed fine because no eye doctor has told me they see anything bad happening. My vision has stayed the same for years, so I saw no reason to do anything any more differently. Now that I have more info that tells me otherwise, Im going to change.
I've pulled similar bs with contacts. I'm not going to be doing that anymore. Unfortunately I have no choice currently since I have no other pairs of contacts left and no glasses. So it's either this or don't see for shit
I'll bet you could get a eye exam + glasses for less than 50 dollars. Do a google search for "eye exam with free glasses (city you live)". When I did that the first link said 69.99 for eye exam and two free pairs of glasses.
From what I learned yesterday, you really dont want to wear your contacts longer than the recommended length. She told me that if I told her I wore them for 3 weeks, she wouldnt care. However if you are wearing 2 week contacts for 1+ months then you are causing damage to your eyes that probably can't be repaired. You will go blind.
Let me just tell you a quick thing about stats. Naturally I am very mathematically inclined and really appreciate it due to being able to precisely calculate an exact answer. When I first took statistics I hated it due to the answers not being an exact precision. At the time I saw no use for it, and thought it was basically junk science.
Fast forward to my graduate studies... I've come to learn just how amazingly powerful statistics really are. It is literally one of the most important sciences being taught at school. Much of how our world currently works relies completely on statistics. We would not have cell phones if it were not for people understanding the powerful nature of this science.
I would suggest you pay attention and study hard for this class.
It has applications way outside of statistics too. A massive amount of information can be held in just one graph.
If I were to name a God of my life, I would say it is the Gaussian Curve. I believe that I live well within the mean of a Gaussian distribution. I believe that most everything I see is also within that median, and so I make all my decisions as if it was mean observation. I almost never assume I see an outlier. Let me give you an example.
Christianity- People believe Jesus could walk on water, turn water into wine, heal the sick with a touch of his hand, and could do other supernatural things. How I interpret that... In all my life, I've never seen a single person do such acts. So is Jesus a ultra extreme statistical outlier? Or is it all bullshit. I'd much rather side on the side of bullshit, than him being a great statistical outlier.

I'm wearing one month contacts for idk how long now. And I don't have 70 bucks to spend on that right now. I didn't know two week contacts existed. I just knew of the one day, one month and the kind you don't have to take out for a month/ok to sleep in.
I can't get used to tipping I can never figure out how much to tip and who and when You Muricans be crazy
learntomath. 15 or 20% of the bill is good. i always do 20% because it's easy to calculate. just move the decimal point one spot over to the left and then double that dollar amount. if you're talking about a bar then i just leave the bartender a dollar or the coins i get when i get my change after i get my drink.
