If I were a Bears fan, I wouldn't want Floyd in the first unless he posed incredible value. I think someone like Wright would be a better fit, because Floyd basically is Brandon Marshall.
I guess, but it would be nice having another serious threat besides Marshall. Johnny Knox is doubtful to be back this year and they still lack that tight end threat as well. Earl Bennett is solid in the slot, but I don't think they can pass him up if he is there.
The Cincinnati Bengals announced Saturday that they have agreed to terms with defensive back Jason Allen.
Allen was the 16th overall pick in the 2006 draft. While he’s come nowhere near meeting the expectations of his draft status, Allen has carved out a respectable, journeyman-type career and can make plays on the ball. He has ten interceptions over the past two seasons.
Allen, 29, can also play both cornerback and safety. If free agent Reggie Nelson doesn’t return, it’s possible Allen would compete for the Bengals’ starting free safety job in training camp.

Don't be ridiculous. A great QB can make mediocre receivers look great.
I'm just saying that's what I'd like to see. This is the first time I've ever been a 49er fan with a QB of the future waiting in the wings. He's just so athletic and there are so many ways you could use him that I'm so antsy to see him play. It's not necessarily that I think he'd perform better than Manning.
49ers and Mario Manningham agree on two-year deal.
With numbers pending, I'm not sure, but if it's reasonable, I love this deal more than my girlfriend.
Also, I think it heavily hurts the chances of the 49ers signing Manning. At this point, I think most of the 49er fans can put their hopes aside.

Kaepernick played in a spread offense in college. You know that Harbaugh doesn't run anything like that. Alex Smith is a more typical Harbaugh guy. I wouldn't want to see Kaepernick for a while. Spread-option quarterbacks not named Cam Newton have not fared well in the NFL. I'm not saying Kaepernick can't, but he's a project. Be careful what you wish for. Alex Smith is good enough to keep the Niners at a high level for a while.

This isn't starting to sound good to me.

Smith will be the guy.
