the raiders didnt deserve to make the playoffs this year so iaintevenmad...the playoffs should be for the elite teams, hence the quick departure of the broncos

I don't know that I buy into the 'You can't win a Super Bowl without a good defense' argument anymore, just as I'm not sure that you need to run the ball to win a Super Bowl anymore. The three teams most picked to win the Super Bowl can't run to save their lives and have average to downright bad defenses.....
As for the Lions.....I think they can give the Saints a good game. I don't expect them to win, but I want to see them play well at least. They've got nothing to lose.
I dont necessarily think you can't win without a killer D and a good run game, but moreover the difference will be those two qualities. I like the Ravens a ton for that reason.
The Ravens aren't good away from home (if they do get to the AFC Championship) and they're trending in the wrong direction. They can run for sure, but that's about their only consistent quality on offense. Flacco does not inspire confidence right now. Defensively, they're toast if their front seven can't get pressure. I like the Ravens and would like to see them go deep this year, but I trust them a lot less than I did at the start of the season. If they do make the Super Bowl, it will be because the AFC is a giant dumpster fire this year. Whoever makes the Super Bowl from that side will be incredibly flawed.

I just think that team is too well coached. It'll catch up to them.
