There’s nothing like having healthy babies. I’ve had 3 friends through the years with children born sick and it was a nightmare. My wife had a friend whose son was born with severe deformities and mental disabilities. He passed away when he was just 2. The friend went into a deep depression and disappeared before popping up again as a born again Christian married in Florida a couple of years later. It was a hard road. My 3 year old was born almost 2 months premature. My wife was in bad shape and they had to take her out early. My wife was literally green during the birth. It was scary. My daughter was only 5 lbs at birth. But I told all the nurses there that she would be tall and strong eventually and I was right. Her 4th birthday isn’t for another month and she’s been in 5T clothes for at least 8 months now
Yeah for sure. I feel like we hit the jackpot with this kid lol.
He's never upset unless he's hi guy, or shit his pants. That's pretty much it.
Hardly ever cries. Already babbling with us and stuff. Could never imagine my life without him again lol.
But yeah. I've had friends with premies, and one friend right now with a 5 year hold that has had like 15 surgeries and a bad heart. It's heartbreaking and I feel so fortunate that I got a healthy guy.
Man this new job has really given me some fresh motivation when it comes to my field.
I've always just sold on being the cheapest price. At this new job we're selling home mostly, and trying to show people why it's important to carry higher liability than state minimums.
A big piece to this is closing deals where we're close. Winning the close battles.
Boss just told.me the last call he listened to is going in the call hall.of fame, and that my closing is one of the best he's ever heard.
A little background on this guy. He's one of the best salesmen I've ever met, and has made a ton of money selling all kinds of things.
So to hear that just absolutely made my day. It feels so good seeing your hard work make you better each day and then being complimented on it. Absolutely goat feeling.
Must be nice. My supervisor is an idiot who doesn’t know shit about running the plant. He can’t figure out simple concepts. He would rather call old employees and ask them questions than talk to me about it though. He won’t even show up until after I’m gone. We are supposed to have at least a 30 minute shift overlap lol. That previous HR meeting we had really kicked his ass.
We have a pump that keeps kicking out. They can’t figure out what causes it to stop sucking water. On the suction side of the pump there are two clearly visible spots where water drips out. The floor is stained from slow drips. If water can drip out, air can get in. Now it’s like a straw with a hole in it. He can’t put it together. The pump kicking out caused the clarifier to drain down 6-8’. It’s basically a big tank fed by a pipe from another tank. If the pump kicked out, one of the tanks is empty or low, and you don’t see 20,000 gallons of water laying around, then the only option is that it sucked back into the original tank. Suction broke, water fell down the pipe rather than traveling up, and it syphoned from there. If it didn’t come out of one end of the pipe, and the pipe didn’t blow apart, it had to go out the other end. It’s a closed system. He can’t figure it out either. He’s been calling the second shift idiot that got fired. He doesn’t know shit either, and that who trained him lol.
> supervisor who don’t know shit hit me and first shift with a bunch of 2’s (needs improvement) > “I can come in if you want to discuss it” > come on in > I also invited his boss
My firm is beta af. They let us do our own reviews. I gave myself 4s and 5s last year. They didn’t even consult with me about it, just cut the bonus check and moved on. I didn’t even know until it hit my account. I’ve been very lucky to have landed here

My first year at my job I fucked off, never finished runs during busy periods, called out constantly like an asshole, and got a 4% raise at the end of it. This past year I've started taking my job seriously, become the best driver they have other than the dude that's been there since '91, and I got 3%. It's all bullshit.
This won’t have any impact on anything at all. It’s just another chance for me to drag him in front of his manager, who already knows he is incompetent. I get along great with his manager. The formerly useless manger got replaced by a manger who really fits the role. That dude is great to deal with. Now it’s just the one supervisor who doesn’t know shit because he came from a different department to run this one with no experience. He’s gonna have to either step up or get fired, he’s the same supervisor I had the legendary HR meeting with that went disastrously for him.
His boss came in this morning and I talked to him, showed him the reviews etc and he agreed with me. Came into an email tonight from the supervisor, who was late this morning and didn’t get to meet with me, and that email is gonna be a train wreck for him as well when he and the manager get the response I sent lol. It’s easier than an e-fight with Will or somebody. It feels like playing basketball with an 8 foot rim and dunking on a midget lmao. He’s just gotta sit down, shit up, and maybe he could learn a thing or two.
