I have met two of the 3 guys before, and we weren't even discussing business of any kind at the time. I wasn't necessarily trying to be funny, I watched that movie yesterday and it popped in my head. They understood the reference, but was just kinda whatever about it.
Idk, I'm not very interested in 100% serious all the time shit. I can be and have been when I'm shooting shows/doing interviews, but I like talking to people in the process. The owner even said that when I do interviews, I'm to keep it to 5 questions or less per interview what kinda bullshit is that. He says he only ever writes one question, and then will ask 2-4 follow up questions depending on the person's answer(s). The 3 sites I've helped out with have never been about that bullshit, we did/do this because we enjoy it, and because we think it's cool. I personally see free concerts as payment. I may not make money right now, but if i can go to 30-40 shows a year and not pay for anything other than food....I'm good with that. Sure, getting paid a few bucks to shoot shows here and there would be nice, but not at the expense of conforming to whatever stuck up standards one guy has. idk.
Gonna do the MMA fight, Tool on the 28th, Def Leppard/Styx on the 30th, then decide from there.
they seem upright and ego drenched, but that how anyone in the entertainment business is.
come with fucking teeth. dont be afraid to say "NO, THIS IS HOW" or if they have a set way, learn and stick with it. and youll be good. sounds like a good opportunity, just dont back down from them.
Blame the writers. Idk what it is but at some point it became mandatory to have a gay character. When it's done right I don't care, but a lot of them feel kind of forced
phone died for the first time since i got it on Saturday night. Plugged it in and it said it needed to be plugged into itunes. Tried to do an update, and a restore. Nothing. Gonna have to go back to the store today :-L. Oh well they will just give me a new phone but i don't feel like leaving work and dealing with the mall people.

drink alcohol.
I especially hate it now when a character is gay for shock factor or comic relief. Both are pretty tasteless at this point
Like all of you said, when its done well, I don't give a shit. See Aaron and Eric in Walking Dead, or Bill and Ellie in The Last of Us.
But it usually feels forced and tacked on
