Their newest album aside from a few tracks wasn't that interesting to me. Beneath My Skin/Mirror Image is at the top of Tesseract's material. You just also happen to like melodeath more than prog.
I listen to progressive stuff as, if not more often than melodeath. I only care about swedish melodeath anyways. The new ATG album is a top 3 of theirs. Tesseract are about as interesting as Periphery in terms of "prog"

I got asked to review the album. All i can say about them is that i think the dude is an incredible vocalist, but he writes boring music. I respect his personal message, though.

I fell off after Sound Of Madness. I liked everything prior but the last three records I couldn't dig besides a song here and there (I like Devil, Cut The Cord, For My Sake and Adrenaline). The whole unity thing is cool and I can respect that message as well, but that's what like every song has been about for three recoeds straight.
I agree. SOM and UAT were was solid radio rock sort of records, but I lve just found everything else to be fairly boring. Although the new album wasn't as bad as the one before it.
