Moving here @Jake "Abortion rights, birth control rights and its place in our healthcare system (birth control is often not covered by health insurance even though non essential things like viagra are), our judicial system and leniency on violent crimes towards women such as rape and domestic violence. I could keep going."
Abortion is legal. Birth control is legal. Viagra shouldnt be covered by health insurance either. Nor should tampons, or condoms, or any of that. Rape is illegal. Women get off easier than men do in rape and domestic abuse cases. Its a failure of our justice system, not a sexism issue.
Men face: more prison incarcerations, longer sentences, greater rate of suicide, smaller college acceptance rate, accepted genital mutilation with circumcision, the same societal body and beauty standards women face, are taken less seriously with rape and abuse cases, must register for the draft, lose the majority of custody battles, lose the majority of divorce settlements, and must pay allamony despite the woman being able to work for herself.
I could go on. Im a man, and I still dont think MRAs are needed.
you know, a lot of feminists agree with a lot of those stances. I forget her name but I remember watching videos by this older feminist who would point out logical fallacies of feminazis and would also make points regarding issues men face. these things don't have to be separate. also, I find it troubling that you admit that there are many pressing issues facing men and women, and don't see a need for activism. we can't keep sweeping these problems under the rug.
some of the issues you bring up in response to jake are problems because a fucked up judicial system and sexism. one can argue that sexism fuels a lot of the corruption in the justice system. there's also a matter of class, and a lot of things that affect class history in the US are historically because of racism. I can see why you get upset when people try to blame these issues solely on sexism or something, because it's more than that, but don't try and deny sexism and racism are still big deals.
sure abortion is legal but not in all states. that'd be like you trying to argue that we don't need any more marijuana reform when weed is legal because it's legal in a few states.
Way to ignore my point. Birth control is an essential medicine. Obviously you disagree but population control is important. And the fact that things like viagra is provided coverdd by insurance is sexist plain and simple. Not to mention the GOP constantly trying to defund Planned Parenthood, a major resource for women and their sexual health.
I told you ages ago to listen to the Joe rogan with sommers

Pretty sure I did. I actually agree with Rogan on most of what he says. His Podcast is great. I love when he has Sam Harris on the show. The Harris clip from the Ableist project was from Rogan's podcast.

The two are not seperate. It is a justice issue that affects women predominately more than men. Women care about the issue more. The fact that a man can rape a woman and get out jail in less than 3 months is wrong no matter which way you try and slice it.

Yeah because you lack empathy for others. You could give 2 shits what happens to other people because as long as you're content everyone else should be too. Maybe if the government banned wallowing in your parents basement you'd start giving a fuck.

No you dont need ideologies and activist movements to push the issues. The issues can still be discussed, but in rational ways. Not with false narratives and ideologies.
Why is it that rejecting an ideology and movement automatically makes me against talking about issues or getting solutions? You dont need a religion to make change.
on one side, seeing whiny super-liberals makes me feel way better about myself. much like that proposed "your pants cant sag" law wherever it was being pushed through, it just makes me look better comparatively so I enjoy watching it happen.
on the other hand, being someone who mostly leans left, it puts me in the same generalized category as said pussies.
