They have more hipster appeal than metal appeal at this point. They've played things like Bonnaroo. Its not that surprising.

I don't know if I agree with that. I'd say New Bermuda is their most metallic record yet. And semantics aside, I'm happy for them. I know their story, and it's awesome to know that a couple of dudes who were struggling to get by in San Francisco made it to success playing music with many elements of black metal and extreme metal
