There is a show called Kemonozume (13 episodes). I really enjoyed. Its from Japan. The artwork is incredibly poor, and the animation sucks. But thats what makes it interesting. Its a modern Romeo And Juliet story, except between man eating monsters and samurai mecha pilots who have to kill them. The last episode is straight up acid trip bonkers. Another show is Shigurui: Death Fenzy (also from Japan, 12 episodes). Its a more realistic and incredibly adult anime. Super dark. Very slow paced. Realistic fighting. Very gory. Nudity, the whole thing. No over the top wall jumping anime fights. Usually just first person to make the move faster wins, like in traditional samurai battles. So this is by Matthew Barney. Barney is a former Ivy League football player slash fashion model that expanded into visual arts and film. This preview is from a series of films he did called 'The Cremaster Cycle'. They were told out of sequence, starting with part 4 in 1994. He's now married with children with Bjork, who does music for his recent films. I've personally only been able to watch any of his stuff in pieces.
