He didn't tell us each specifically, but he told a couple of us and when the Mayhem Boards shut down, everyone remembered "Hey, what about that Metal Uprising place MC mentioned?" I think he specifically asked Thor and Skeet, but the rest of us were indirectly here through MC.

Even during 07 it was pretty decent. Freefest brought a lot of people, and it was pretty fun. Then teh Wiz started banning everyone and ozzfest dropped off the face of the earth.
