Yea, I was kidding. Really I just check out bad albums if I'm legitimately curious. I used to like Trivium. Quite a bit. So I check out their new stuff out of curiosity. For Hail to the King, I only listened because of how much positive feedback it was getting from places I wasn't expecting it from.
I don't know offhand the worst album, biggest let down was The Fratellis - We Need Medicine. Their big new release after a moderately long hiatus blows balls but got them enough attention to to play some festivals and are some change.
pitchfork says its a 1.9 and I flog myself nightly before a pitchfork logo shrine to gain the hipster high knowledge. havent even listened to lateralus because I know it sucks that much dick. also because any albums released in 2001 support terrorism.
Growing up in the 90s green day was king.. We listened to em every freakin day for like 7 years lol
I was so excited to buy it .. Bought it the first day it came out put it in my boom box and dear lord I hated it from the second I heard it I was so pissed.. Couldn't even get through the whole thing and have it away
if I think an album sucks then I don't listen to it...
Why would I listen to an entire album that blows?
Well its not like I go out specifically looking for something I hate. I love Metallica and I used to like Linkin Park. So loving Metallica and all when I heard about LuLu I was like "Cool, Metallica hasn't done shit in a while. Can't wait for some new materiel even if its a collaboration." I have never hated or even disliked a Metallica album. Even St.Anger had a few really good songs on it (St. Anger, Frantic, Some Kind of Monster, and Purify). It was by no means a great album but it was decent. Death Magnetic was amazing so liking all their shit so far of course I was going to listen to LuLu. I'm old school I buy all my Cds (I own somewhere near 250+) but I listened to LuLu when they streamed it for free on thier website. It was trash. Sort of the same with Linkin Park because I loved Meteora and Hybrid Theory. Minutes to Midnight was disappointing but a few decent tracks. Then Thousand Suns came out and it sucked dick. And my Greenday experience was the same lol
I'm not "offended" by anything in this thread, your post was just fucking stupid.
Hi, I;m Moe. Joined here a few days ago. Nice to meet you. Never said you were offended and I never tried to offend you. I was laughing at Hybrid's general silliness because he used to fuck with everyone on the Mayhem boards the same way.
Depends on the length of the album for me. If its only like a 40-50min album why not. But with LuLu I couldn't sit through the fucking 10 minute and 20 minute songs. Listened for a couple minutes then skipped.
Yeah thats a good point. I've only stuck to the "listen to the whole album deal" because sometimes the album has like a surprisingly good song or two. i.e. Hail to the King. 8 tracks in and I only liked one. But out of nowhere cam "Coming Home" and that one was pretty good.
I might skip to the last track cuz some bands save their "epic" shit for the last song on the album but if it starts out bad, its probably gonna end bad.

nah, I liked it better than In Waves. Still isn't saying much though. They both blew. Vengeance Falls was a bit better though.
Why do you fags bother listening to that garbage?
INNNNNNNNNN WAVVEEEEEEESSSS
Sometimes you have to listen to the bad to realize how good the good actually is.
Not really.

If an album starts out shitty, there's a good chance I'm not gonna finish it. I got better shit to do.

If I'm not feelin it 4-5 songs in, I'm like "Nah."
