Most of these nu-thrash bands nor the interest generated for old crossover would exist without Municipal. Municipal was out playing 150 capacity hole in the walls while you fagz were playing Pokemon. Tbh I don't even like most other nu-thrash. Most of those bands are hacks that don't know anything other than plunder old thrash riffs and imagery. MW does it with an art and sense of humor that makes them more a tribute, which is how it should be when taking on an extinct genre. Dave Witte is the vanguard of extreme music drummers for the last 20 years. His involvement alone gives them a credibility the others don't have. It's funny that people still get gay for some of the nu-thrash because even as a retro genre, it's already old and passé for the most part. Warbringer, Evile, etc have all pretty much come and gone and disappeared back into obscurity. I remember when Warbringer came out, their dick must've been sore from all the riding. They were like Exhumed was a couple of years ago where they popped up on just about every tour. Now barely anyone knows their name.

Funnily enough, when i saw him live last weekend, he had NO pyro or stage props whatsoever, because the roof to the stage was too low.
Still enjoyed it.
