if anything I'am just confused but I refuse to follow the Bible! It is full of nothing but fairy tales (brilliant ones at that) and ways to for us to give in to fear

I believe that Semitic religion began as a group of stories dedicated towards helping people live better lives. Sort of how we all read The Boy Who Cried Wolf as a kid. Over time, there developed an overseer to how people live, God. Eventually, this evolved into a religion. Fear and power have nothing to do with it. The church itself became the problem, and many religious figures have had problems with it over history. Your problem is with organized religion, not religion itself.

god and satan don't exist, neither does heaven or hell. for over 3000 years religion and "god" has been a tool for the clever to brainwash the stupid into doing pretty much whatever they want. its all fairy tales to scare people into thinking they have to live a certain way by a certain set of rules. also i'm not even gonna get started on what horseshit the bible is. the bible can be debunked by using passages from the bible itself
the bible and god kinda reminds me of santa clause. both are used to regulate the behavior of people. do good, and you will be rewarded. you know what I mean?
