CD/music sales are essentially the deciding factor for radio fests. I was surprised a few years back when they were headlining uproar over Godsmack. Not that they're much better, I had just figured they were bigger. But Shinedown somehow manage to stay up in those slots.

That's because Godsmack hadn't done any new music for a couple years at the time and Shinedown had two back to back successful albums. Each one has like 7-8 top 19 radio hits on em. They were just capitalizing on that.

If any of them are on the day I go I will. Not worth all three days this year so I'm going to just one. Won't have to spend on a hotel that way.

I'll be going to whatever day QOTSA is on, so it's a mystery box who I get for a headliner and other bands.
